An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that delivers an electric shock to restore normal heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). No prior training is required to use a Mindray AED — the device provides clear voice and visual instructions. However, we strongly recommend CPR/AED training to build confidence and improve response times. We offer SRFAC-accredited training courses that can be conducted at your workplace.
Electrode pads typically need to be replaced every 2-3 years or after each use. Batteries last approximately 5 years on standby. Our Mindray AEDs with Wi-Fi connectivity can send automatic alerts when replacements are due, and we offer maintenance packages to handle this for you.
